Catherine & Noel’s beautiful wedding took place on the longest day of the year, however everyone knows how quick a wedding day can actually go. The weather was on our side with the sun high in the sky as I made my way out to Hilltown on the morning of the 21st June. The house was buzzing and Catherine could not get up the church quick enough to marry Noel. Julie Quinn make up and Andrina O’Hare from Hair Room were doing fantastic jobs making the girls look amazing.
We grabbed a few images then made the short journey over to Cabra to capture the boys preps. It was not long before I was back with the girls before heading to the church.
It felt like to entire population of Hilltown had gathered at the church to see Catherine make her way up the long steps. The wedding was beautiful with Joanne Killen, Bernice McAleenan, Dolores O’Hare and Eileen Mooney providing the music. Some quick snaps after and the party made its way to Lowrys in the village for a few refreshments.
When I arrived at Darver Castle, Mary was waiting as always with a smile and a tray of drinks ready for the bridal party who wouldn’t be far behind. The surroundings as always looked amazing as Parcel of Rogue entertained the guests. Catherine and Noel had a light snack, a cake cutting shot, (cake by Honey bee bakery), then to the group photos on the front lawn. Of course Catherine just had to get up to the new swing at the top of the gardens, her over enthusiasm to get swinging in a large wedding dress resulted in her falling off the swing! Thankfully her trusty bridesmaids were there to help her up, this did not deter her as away she went again swinging like a happy child with her feet high in the air. The meal as always was sublime, after the guests made their way out to the surrounding gardens to relax in the evening sun. We took this opportunity to grab a few images around the castle grounds. Then it was time to get the dancing shoes on as Sugertown road hit the stage to get the party started.
